Discuss the founding of the English colonies by concentrating first on the South (Virginia and Georgia) and then on New England. Why did people come to these colonies and what are the differences among them?

Answers

Answer 1

Answer:

The colony of Virginia was the first to be founded in what is now the U.S. It was at first a very poor colony but when the settlers discovered that tobacco grew there, the colony quickly began to develop. The first African American slaves were taken to Virginia to grow tobacco.

Georgia was founded by settlers from Virginia and the Carolinas in the lowlands areas, were they established plantations that were worked by enslaved African Americans. In the northern parts of the state, Scotch-Irish immigrants settled, where they founded small, independent communities.

New England was founded by puritan separatists, or pilgrims. These were protestants of calvinist faith who had very strict social norms, but who also had great work ethic, and who were intolerant to slavery.

Answer: Overconfidence

Explanation:

Before the attack on Adobe Walls, Quanah Parker and the other Indian attacker took part in a sun dance where a Comanche medicine man proclaimed that he had a vision where the Natives would win. He also said that bullets would not work on them.

What was Hitler’s message and why was it so attractive to the German people?

Answers

Answer:

Germany became a republic in 1919. After losing the First World War, Kaiser Wilhelm II abdicated. Many Germans were dissatisfied with the new situation. They longed for a return to the Empire. Many people also believed that the ruling social democrats were to blame for losing the war. Nevertheless, things started to look up from the mid-1920s onwards. And then in 1930, the global economic crisis hit. Germany could no longer pay the war debts stipulated in the Versailles Peace Treaty. Millions of Germans lost their jobs. The country was in a political crisis as well. Cabinets were falling, and new elections were held all the time. It seemed impossible to form a majority government.

Explanation:

From then on, the Nazis were to stick to the law and try to gain power by means of elections. They benefited from the economic crisis that began by the end of the 1920s. The Nazis used the crisis to condemn the government and the Versailles peace treaty. Their strategy was effective. In the 1928 elections, the NSDAP gained 0.8 million votes; in 1930, the number had increased to 6.4 million.
